As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Zane Cody may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his father Chris Sam; his daughter Zaelynn Sam; and his grandmothers, Mary Jane Chapo and Emma Sam. He is survived by: his parent Veloria Chapo; his stepfather Kevin Wood; and his siblings, Marco, Xavier, Kaliyah and Kaleb. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, and grandparents.
Whether he was landscaping and working with the City of Maricopa, protecting places and others as a security guard during COVID, or helping with maintenance and supporting students and faculty at Arizona State University, Zane held himself to a high standard.
