He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Cope; his parents, John Cope and Lois Cope; and his siblings, Jonell Hammit and Darrell Cope.
He is survived by: his sister Joy Gibson; and his children, David Cope (Barbara), Darrell Cope (Shayse), Robert Cope (Patty), Jeff Ellenburg, Debbie Cope and Charity Wood. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
