He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Bateman and Mildred Bateman (Self); and his siblings, Shirley Smith, Wendell Bateman and Richard Bateman.
He is survived by: his wife Gail; his son Robert Bateman (Jennifer) of Peoria, AZ; his grandchildren, Jacob (Tori) of Littleton, CO and Jacey (Silas) of Bayfield, CO; his great grandchildren, Eliza and Claire; and his brother Johnny Bateman of Shawnee, OK. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
