He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Franklin Murphy and Evelyn Keele Murphy; his brothers, Gerald Masters Murphy and Dee Franklin Murphy; and his daughter Mandi Lynn Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife BettyJan Leavitt Murphy; and his children, Lon Leavitt Murphy (Heidi), Trent Alan Murphy (Lisa), Troy Franklin Murphy, Geri, Lee Alexander Murphy (Chandelle) and Lynnette Carol Murphy Kersten (Peter). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.
