Bev Luzadder wrote a sympathy message

“Austin: Your father was my teacher and mentor at the TS. His teaching literally changed my life. He was also my very dear friend. We ate many meals together, especially at our home in Bloomingdale. You were our guest for a hilarious meal of steak and plenty of wine. From a distance, I have followed your career, beginning at Northwestern, seeing you at Sturbridge, and continuing through SVU. Tony, my wife Bev, and I had great fun during two visits to Far Horizons. We all comprised the Red Meat Red Wine Faction of the. TS. I was not surprised, but was saddened, when he was let go by Olcott. He didn’t handle it well. A few months later, he literally “fired” his two best friends-me and Stephan Hoeller. Why, I don’t know, as he had visited us here in Hendersonville, NC hardly a year before. I know that he loved you as much as life itself. He was so very proud of you, and he (and we) greatly admired your talent and who you were as a person. I truly loved your father, as did many people that I know. He was simply brilliant, and was the best read person that I have known. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy for your loss. We will continue to follow, and cheer for, you in the future.
