He is survived by: his children, Gilbert Olivares, Richard Olivares, Ronald Gonzales (Mary), Arturo "Turi" Gonzales (Georganne), Anna Orantez and Rose Gonzalez; and his sister Belle Wilson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
