She was predeceased by : her husband Manuel V. Alvarez; her daughter Lisa; her sister Mary N. Alvarez; her son-in-law Victor Chavez; and her parents, Ernesto Noriega and Hortencia Noriega.

She is survived by : her children, Sonia Aquino (Louis), Mary Lou Chavez, Manuel Alvarez Jr. (Lina), Grace Alvarez Gramos (Scott), Eddie Alvarez and Cindy Solis (Juan); and her siblings, Luis Noriega, Ernesto Noriega, Cecilia N. Silvas and Rosy Almaguer (Alex). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
