He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Atkins and Floria Bell Atkins. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his daughter Danielle Tervol (Thomas) of Aurora, Colorado; his siblings, Ellen Holland of Windsor, Virginia, Richard Atkins (Barbara) of Smithfield, Virginia, Jesse Atkins (Raye) of Chesterfield, Virginia and Oliver Atkins (Judy) of Hampton; his extended family, Andrew, Lynné Lovett, Todd and Faith Canale; his daughter Chiara (Daniel); his grandchildren, Brian, Leah, Freya, Atlas, James Fadok, Dan and Karen Beattie; his sons, Kai (Kathy Beres) and Dale (Paige Lovett); his grandchildren, Faison, Peyton, Luke, Andrew, Cody Lovett, Bryn and Leif Ovaldson; his children, Jonah, Graceson and Caitlyn (Tim); and his grandchildren, Jasmine, Skylar, Kaden, Caleb Lovett and Chloé Lovett. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

During the pandemic, Danny developed extremely critical COVID-19.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Danny's memory to The American Heart Association, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or TLC Mission Fund would be greatly appreciated.
