He was predeceased by: his parents, Estella Beckner (Tarr) and Earl Beckner; his siblings, Esther Folger, James and Charles; and his in-laws, Harry and Pat Parson (Miller).

He is survived by: his children, Mary, Williamsville and Athens; his wife Cheryl Parson; his sister Nancy Ricketts (Jim); his son David Beckner (Pam) of Cantrall, IL; his grandchildren, Jessica and Caiti (Andrew Oldfield); his daughter Lisa Dungey of Springfield; his grandson Gregory Dungey, Jr. (Allison); his daughter Rachel Bandy (Nick); his daughter-in-law Mary Dial (Jim) of Riverton, IL; his grandchildren, Shawna Dial and Shelby Kincaid (Cody); and his brother-in-law Randy Parson (Connie) of Decatur. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and their children; NINE great-grandchildren.
