He is survived by: his children, Mary "Kitty" Buesteton, Cecelia "Cissy" Jones, Andrew Kary, Kathleen Berkes (Sam), Colleen Barker (Tony), Daniel Kary and Benjamin Kary; his grandchildren, Brian Buesteton, Emily Kelley, Brandon Jones, Kevin Jones (Mary), Julia (Orelando Collier) and Ryan Jones; his children, Adam Kary (Emily), Megan Valdivieso (Ben), Melanie Fransen (Jake), Bridget Berkes (Kyle Higham), Amanda Berkes, Rebekah Meyer (Josh), Charity Ragon (Blake) and Cody Kary (Mikenzie); and his sisters, Bertha "Bertie" Bertrams of Chico, CA and Janet Bowers (Mark) of Rochelle, IL..
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home (400 N 6th St, Rochelle, IL 61068). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (236 Kelley Dr, Rochelle, IL 61068). The military honors was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick Cemetery.
