She was predeceased by: her parents, Greg Escalante and Bertha Escalante; her brothers, Greg and Eddie Escalante; and her nephew Frankie Escalante.

She is survived by: her son Michael A. Monette (Lina Vasquez); her granddaughter Alexandra Ruiz; her sibling's children, Stephanie Escalante, Vanessa Escalante, Andrea Escalante, Karen Stewart, Janet Harrison, Eddie Escalante, Abel Escalante, Greg Escalante, Jr., Fernando Escalante and Patrick Hurts; her brother-in-law Silas Hurts; and her brother Rene Escalante. She is also survived by her family and friends.
