He was predeceased by: his parents, Sumner Eugene Bovee and Esther Agnes Fruth; his wife Deborah Kay Jones Bovee; his sister Barbara Shinost (Jim); and his brother-in-law Marlin Anderson.
He is survived by: his sister Sharilee Anderson; his nephews, James E. Shinost and Todd Shinost; his stepson John McCarrell (Liz); and his stepgrandchildren, Sam and Hannah. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
