She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Montano and Alfonso R. Contreras; and her granddaughter Gloria Maria Ortiz. She is survived by: her husband Nieves; her children, Frank (Reina), Mary Lupita (Ernesto), Jose Nieves (Gloria), Mark (Yvonne), Richard (Donna), Carmen and Margaret Ann (Michael); and her sisters, Josephine Montano and Dolores Franco. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Evelina's name to St. Ambrose Church.
