He was predeceased by: his parents, Evertt McFarlin and Agnes McFarlin. He is survived by: his wife Rose L. McFarlin; his children, John McFarlin Dade of Whitewater, WI and Jamy Schoor (John) of Schaumburg, IL; his grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas Dade and Jolene Grizely; and his siblings, William McFarlin, Sandra Kruckenburg (Ken) and Shirley Arenda (Ted).
