He was predeceased by: his daughter Monica Ann; his grandson Emilio Francisco; his brother Abe; and his parents, Francisco and Aurora.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Bermudez Montaño; his daughters, V. Renée Montaño (Ken Urdahl) and Cné Montaño (Robert Coronado); his grandchildren, Veronica Coronado, Samantha Coronado, Augustine Pargas (Danielle Naney) and Adriana Pargas; his great grandchild Isaac Pargas; and his niece Coachmen.
