It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Samaniego of Tucson, Arizona, who passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ignacio Carbajal and Maria Bustamante Carbajal; her husband Bernardo Samaniego; and her brothers, Frank and Ignacio "Kito" Carbajal.

She is survived by: her daughter Imelda Cardenas; her son-in-law Mark Cardenas; her grandson Marcos Cardenas; and her siblings, Oralia Flores, Beatrice Macias, Eva Cordova, David, Danny and Eddie.
