“Mr. Mielke was my Sunnyside Jr. high and high school cross country and track coach. Very special person in my heart and I cant even begin to describe his impact on me and all my fellow athletes that were fortunate to have been mentored and coached by him. I was fortunate to have visited him at his home a few months ago & had the chance to tell him how much he impacted me (spoke for hrs.) Left feeling like a kid pointed in the right direction , again.. Thank You. RIP Mr. Mielke.”
