He was predeceased by: his parents, Tomo Tkalcevic and Kata Silaj Tkalcevic. He is survived by: his wife Connie Niel; his children, Kristin McGinnis (Graham) and Ryan Tkalcevic (Niki); his grandchildren, Hailey Escandon, Alexa McGinnis, Anthony Tkalcevic, Andie Jo Tkalcevic and Miles Tkalcevic; his brother Mike Tkalcevic (Cathy); and his siblings-in-law, Scott Niel, Sharon Bivens and Juliette Tkalcevic. He is also survived by many friends and neighbors.
