He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lykins and Elizabeth Lykins; and his sister Linda Lykins. He is survived by: his wife Jane Lykins; his sons, Jude Lykins of Colorado and Gabriel Lykins of Tucson; and his brother James Lykins (Susanna Sammons) of Maryland. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Joe was a brilliant, careful, and respected physician who once worked 23 days in a row saving lives during COVID.
