He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Mortimer and Joseph Mortimer; his granddaughter Angel; and his great grandchild Shepherd. He is survived by: his wife Margarita "Margie" Mortimer; his brother George Mortimer (Catherine Crandall); his children, Tara Mortimer (John Brooks), Erina Mortimer (Monica Barrio) and Steven Mortimer; his grandsons, Richard Silva (Hannah Silva), Anthony Silva and John Clay; and his great grandchildren, Rocky and Vallie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 27th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Augustine's Cathedral (192 S Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701). A Mass was held on Tuesday, January 27th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 27th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Hope Cemetery (3555 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 27th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #180 (1530 N Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ 85705).
