He was predeceased by : his parents, Long Viet Trinh and Thoi Thi Tran; his siblings, Ngat Thi Trinh, Thom Thi Trinh and Viet Ly Trinh; and his nephew Hung Ba Nguyen.

He is survived by : his wife Hoi Thi Vu; his siblings, Khoi Ngoc Trinh and Thai Thi Trinh; and his cousins, Yeu Pham, Nhu Tran, Tieu Pham and Trieu Vu. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and Godson.
