He was predeceased by: his former wife Alice Niven; his mother Janet; and his siblings, Claire "Bud" Niven and Madeline. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Lindstrand; his daughters, Lorna Niven and Mary Heidemann; his brothers, Bob Blades and Jim Blades; and his children, Dave Lindstrand (Sheila), Roger Lindstrand (Nikki), Bet, Cheryl and Brian Lindstrand. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
