Though Lucy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lucy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Isidro Tellez and Manuela Tellez; her husband Henry Benitez; her siblings, Richard and Dolly; and her grandson Skye.
She is survived by: her children, Sonny (Terry), Miriam (Frank) and David; and her sisters, Frances and Kathy. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren as well as many nephews and nieces.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sensible Funerals & Cremation (109 W Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery (15950 N Luckett Rd, Marana, AZ 85653).
