He was predeceased by: his parents, Luis Melendez Sr. and Rosa Gomez Melendez; and his sisters, Gloria Flores and Celia Rivera. He is survived by: his wife Ana Maria Salcido; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Megan, Maya and Violet Melendez. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.
