He was predeceased by: his mother Anna Louise Rivota; and his grandfather Pete Vela. He is survived by: his wife Leonela; his children, Ibraham, Anna and Lia; his father Isaias Vela; and his grandparents, Spencer and Maria Jones. He is also survived by his brothers, his sisters; his nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Zion City Santa Cruz (1775 W Ajo Wy, Tucson, AZ 85746).
