He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Hare and Jewel Hare; his siblings, James Hudson Hare, Eva Jean Hare Maloney and Thelma Louise Steed; and his grandson Michael Piech.

He is survived by: his children, Jesse, Adrienne, Emery, Calvin, Bridget, Vernon, Pamela, Bryan and Brant; his wife Geneva Hare; his daughter Pam; his grandchildren, Jennifer Piech, Dimitri Hare, Teresa Young, Keisha Young, Bryan Milberg and Darrian Romero Hare; and his great grandchildren, Tracey Bacon, Ruth Milberg, Gus Milberg, Frank Milberg, Jamea Young, Skylar Young, Hannah Chastain, Lillie Chastain, Audrey Chastain, Valerie Chastain and Olivia Chastain. He is also survived by relatives and dear friends.
