He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Carlson and Elsa P. Carlson; his significant other Elizabeth "Betty" Phillips; and his brother John H. Carlson, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Barbara C. Wheeler (Rick) of Tucson, Peter E. Carlson, Jr. (Sue) of Riverside and June C. Hussey (Bill) of Tucson; and his sister Phyllis C. Freeman (Don) of North Chatham. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
