She was predeceased by: her parents, Juanita V. Escalante and Miguel Escalante; and her siblings, Rita Gastelo, Jessie Guzman, Juan Escalante and Jose Escalante.

She is survived by: her siblings, Miguel Escalante and Maria Escalante; her children, Jose Verdugo, Patricia Duran (Mark) and Ralph Verdugo; her grandchildren, Richard Miller, Sophia Verdugo and Crystal Figueroa (Jesse); and her great grandchildren, JessyLyn Figueroa and Peytyn Figueroa.
