He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine Ortiz-Rivera; his parents, Benjamin Rivera and Connie Rivera; and his brother Ben Rivera. He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Rivera, Sally Roberts, Emily Alvarez and Betty De La Garza; his godson Andrew Lopez; and his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Alvarado, Stephen Alvarado, Daniel Lopez, Alexis Lopez and Lelissa Lopez.
