She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Steinman and Joyce Steinman (Wenger); and her daughter-in-law Gwen Ashenfelter. She is survived by: her husband Michael Ashenfelter; her children, Robert Ashenfelter (Cecilia Castellano), Steven Ashenfelter and Julie Mette (Matthew); her grandchildren, Trisha Ashenfelter, Amanda Tremblay (Chris), Monica Shook (Clayton), Caroline Born, Nathaniel Mette and Lauren Mette; and her siblings, Marvin Steinman (Pat), Thomas Steinman (Dung) and Nancy Alto. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
She spent many years volunteering for the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio and the Sunshine Foundation, Inc. Sherry was a member of the Southern Arizona Arts Guild.
