He was predeceased by: his mother Vivian Armstrong. He is survived by: his father James Armstrong; his wife Christine Modesitt; his daughter Chloe; his grandchildren, Justice, Quinton and Jordan; and his brothers, Jerry (MaryAnn), Larry (Jackie) and Perry (Mary Ellen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dementia/Alzheimer's Foundation.
