He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Charles, Amanda Ruffin, Maxie Sr. and Genevieve O'Brien. He is survived by: his parents, Maxie O'Brien Jr. (Linda) of Verdunville, Louisiana and Pervy Ruffin of Lafayette, Louisiana; and his siblings, Arla Nicholas (Donald) of Morgan City, Leah Hunt of Columbus, Georgia, Laron Ruffin of Lafayette, Louisiana, Curry O'Brien (Shaun) of Apopka, Florida and Chad O'Brien (Brittany) of Verdunville, Louisiana. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Home (715 Sixth St, Morgan City, LA 70380). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Morgan City Cemetery (450 Myrtle St, Morgan City, LA 70380).
