He was predeceased by: his parents, William Halbur and Josephine Halbur (Kawi) of Halbur, Iowa.; his wife Marie Halbur (Schultes) of Joseph's Catholic Church; and his siblings, Cletus Halbur (Emaline), Norman Halbur (Inez), Dolores Meiners (Halbur), Alvin Halbur and Larry Halbur (JoAnn).
He is survived by: his sons, Scott Halbur (Nicole), Matthew Halbur (Shawna) and Michael Halbur (Joanna); his grandchildren, Christina of Arizona, Jakob of Arizona, Matthew of Arizona, Ryan of Arizona and Rivera of Arizona; his great grandchild Isla; his sisters, Margaret Denker (Tom) of Halbur and Pat Goblirsch (Joe) of Jesup; his brother-in-law Bernard (Marita); and his in-laws, Joe Schultes (Carol), Louis Schultes (Shirley), Leo Schultes (Mari), Marian Berger (Ron), Marcia Anderson (Bob) and Marlene Weeks (Joe Spevak).
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (324 W 2nd St, Halbur, IA 51444). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sharp Center – Just Adjacent.
