He was predeceased by: his sister Deborah Potts; his aunts and uncles, Deborah K., Efrem Potts, Sheba and Isadore Scher; his cousin James Scher; and his parents, Esther Potts and Albert Potts.

He is survived by: his sister Leah Fisher (Charles); his stepdaughter Amanda; his nephew Michael Fisher (Lara Fox); his niece Shahla Fisher Deleon (Carlos); and his cousins, Judith Scher, David Scher (Judith Shagrin), Ruth Potts (Alexandra Carter), Rabbi JoHanna Potts, Elizabeth Borris (Mark) and Amy Knapp (Paul). He is also survived by four great nieces and nephews.
