He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse Emerson Mason, Sr. and Patricia Ella Mason (Hughes); his siblings, Janice Ugalde and Tommy Mason; and his son Shawn.
He is survived by : his wife Penny; and his children, Marce Irvin, Jesse E. Mason, III, Jay Irvin and Brandi Jones. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
