He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Echoles and Jewel Echoles (Hunter); his sisters, Mary Hayes, Lila Thomas, Essie McMath, Scottie Norwood, Gerline Fairley and Ruthie Washington; and his son Edward Charles Echoles.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean Echoles (Scott); and his children, Thomas Earl Jr. Echoles (Theresa), Joe Lee Echoles (Dorothy), Tommy Echoles, LaDonna Echoles, Windle Echoles, Stephenia Echoles, JoAnn Echoles and Grace Ann McDuffy (Donald). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; goddaughter and godson.
