He was predeceased by: his father Claude Barnett; his wife Jimmie Maxine Tubb Barnett; his brother Don Barnett; his nephews, Mike Tubb and Randy Hanson; his parents-in-law, Jim and Maxine Tubb; and his brother-in-law Howell Tubb.
He is survived by: his daughter Lori Moody (Bill); his grandchildren, Davis, Alexander, Edward and Victoria of Madison, MS.; his son James Barnett (Mary Beth) of Gulfport, MS; his grandchildren, Wes Barnett (Sarai) of Lyndhurst, NJ, Adam Barnett (Elyse) of Durham, NC, Andrew Steiner of Boston, MA, Camille Heckmann of Pensacola, FL and Josh Barnett (Kristel) of Philadelphia, PA.; his sister Carol Hanson of Dammeron Valley, UT; and his nieces and nephews, Ronald Hanson of Dammeron Valley, UT, Greg Hanson (Debbie), Erik, Angela, Phillip, Sonya, Kaylie, Ryder, Ethan, Cade, Camden, Wyatt and Sunny.
