She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Deffenbaugh and Teresa Deffenbaugh; her brothers, Ray and Joseph Deffenbaugh; her father-in-law Darril Bowen; her aunt Dorothy; and her uncle Marvin Elmore.

She is survived by: her husband Darril "Rusty" Bowen; her children, Michele Walton (Darrin), Cindy Truchot (Mike Siebke), Jacob Bowen (Brook Sherman) and Isaac Bowen (Katie); her brother Johnny Deffenbaugh; her mother-in-law Esther Bowen; and her cousins, Trudy Martini and Beverly Morlan. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a local animal shelter or horse rescue in her memory.
