Vivian Sue (Boyce) Johnson Obituary
My mom. Born 7-19-1953 @ 8pm. Joined her parents and family in heaven 8-2-2020 @ 12:15 pm.
Mom, we miss you already. I would choke and fall short of words if I start talking about how much you mean to me. That is why I am writing this.
My mom was a mother to all my friends, cousins, and her students.
Mom has been there since day one. Her love has been the balm for every problem we faced and every pain we had in our growing years. Mom was the first woman we have been in love with.
She is the first person to teach us what is good and evil, she is the first person to make us feel love. She was our first cheer leader. Thank you will be a small word for all that you have done for us.
I had an amazing childhood, all thanks to you and dad. You always showered abundant love on us. And when we made mistakes, you corrected us and made sure we did not make that mistake again.
I am glad that I was raised by a strong woman like you. Watching you, I have learned to get up each time I am met with an obstacle in life. You have been my strength and inspiration. You have always taught me to believe in myself and help others. Such valuable lessons help me in life.
I am sorry for making you worry at times, but thank you for all those moments when you were there for me even when the whole world was against me. It gave me the courage to go in my chosen path. Even when that path was not the one that you had envisioned for me. Never stop guiding me.
My mom was a cub scout leader, a team mom with the oranges and juice, a chauffeur for all of us, and a teacher for many.
My mom was the woman that yelled down the street that dinner was ready.
We ate what was made for dinner and did not complain. When I started elementary school my mom made me sardines and crackers or deviled ham sandwiches. In first grade I asked her for a lunch that did not need a key to open and that the other kids would not think smelled. So bologna and PBnJ it was from then on out.
When the neighbor took nick’s bike for riding across the corner of his lawn, She marched right over there and let him know that he messed with the wrong family.
My mom is patient. She had to be. We were rough kids and learned the hard way. She also had to deal with the questioning from the ER nurses from taking us there so much for stitches. Along with having to take a few of our friends.
My mom made everyone birthday cakes. I recall her making barbie cakes for all of my cousins birthdays, along with some monster truck, dirt bike, and whatever else we were into at the time cakes for us.
My mom made us Halloween costumes.
And so much more. She loved hearing me tell stories of mine and Nick’s childhood. Love you Mom.
So, if my mom was a part of your life say a prayer for her as she ascends to the heavens to be reunited with our loved ones that are waiting to greet us.
