“John was about the friendliest, most helpful person I have ever met. I only knew him through his clock endeavors, so his time as a store owner, Council member and Mayor were unknown to me. But it all made perfect sense when I heard the stories at his Celebration of Life. He was genuinely curious and you really felt that when talking with him. He talked me into running NAWCC Ch. 107 over the phone while I was in Indiana to view a solar eclipse. He could be very persuasive. I'll truly miss him.”
