Though Shirles Dean may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Shirles Dean touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She is survived by: her daughter Christina Castillo; her grandson Gabriel; and her son-in-law René.
