She was predeceased by : her parents, Marjorie Layton and Glen Layton; her brother Glen Leslie Layton; and her granddaughter Evie. She is survived by : her husband Tom O'Malley; her children, Maggie O'Malley Cox of Atascadero, Merry O'Malley Reynolds (Michael) and Trevor O'Malley (Tina) of Lacey, Washington; her sisters, Marjanne Claassen of Colorado and Wendy Whaley of Nevada; and her grandchildren, Ezra, Joy, Hunter, Ivan, Keenan, Danika, Hope and Aria.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Atascadero Gospel Chapel (8205 Curbaril Ave, Atascadero, CA 93422).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a monetary donation to help support the Battle of the Books with AUSD or a donation of a children's book.
