He was predeceased by : his parents, Peter and Vasiliki Maletis; and his siblings, Marina Maletis Finnegan and John Peter Maletis. He is survived by : his wife Mary Liz; his children, Peter Maletis (Amber), Elizabeth Stuart (Courtney), Laura Bolling (Nelson) and John Maletis (Francie); his grandchildren, Isabella, Carey, Grant Maletis, Grace, Jack, Henry, Brooks Stuart, Olivia, Elle Bolling, Morgan, Kelsey and Theo Maletis; and his nieces, Kelly Kraus Whitman and Marina Finnegan Hassy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University , which is conducting research on healthy aging, particularly in the area of neurodegenerative disease.
