He was predeceased by: his son Ryan Sturtz; and his parents, Patricia Sturtz and John Donald Sturtz Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Sue Sturtz; his daughters, Shannon Sturtz and Amanda Fabian; his granddaughters, Lily Raymundo and Layla Fabian; and his brother Dave Sturtz.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lassila Funeral Chapel (551 Grass Valley Hwy, Auburn, CA 95603). A reception will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to Don's heart and one supported by the family.
