Donald Richard Haworth Obituary

Donald Haworth (Pop) passed away on June 15th in Bakersfield, Ca. Born on March 23, 1940 to Wesley and Ola (Benna) Haworth of Lamont, Ca. Don was the oldest of four children. He attended Arvin High school graduating in 1958. Shortly there after he married Wynona Daniel. Together they had a total of 5 children. Shelley Ash (Warren), Donnie Haworth, Jill Floyd (Paul), Richard Haworth, and Anson Haworth (Deceased.) He worked for Kern Oil and Refining in Lamont for 40 years before retiring in Greenfield, and raising another generation of Haworths, Wesley Haworth, Erica Sandlin (Robert), and Kyle Haworth (Natalia).
He was an avid animal lover. Filling his backyard with numerous dogs, turtles, rabbits, chickens, pigs, peacocks, and whatever else needed a home. He spent most days in his backyard enjoying a beer with the animals, and any grandkids or great grandkids that would happen to show up. He was known to most kids as Pop!
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Wynona, his kids Shelley, Donnie, Jill, and Richard. 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren. Sisters, Carol Chambers (Floyd), Diane Townson (George), numerous nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Brenda Tootle.
