It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emmett Eugene Long (Bakersfield, California), born in Shabbona, Illinois, who passed away on March 17, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Long and Audrie Long; and his siblings, Allen Long and Juanita Horton. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Reid; his children, Robert Long, Michelle Urzanqui (Tony) and Steve Long (Sylvia); and his grandchildren, Jerred (Tiffani), Joshua (Darci), Joel (Stephanie), Japheth (Brittany), Jonah (Lindsay), Justin Long (Kasie) and Jillian Urzanqui. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St Jude's Children's Hospital.
