We are sad to announce that on March 3, 2024, at the age of 98, Ida Vetere Ryan of Bakersfield, California, born in Green River, Utah passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John Vetere and Maria Vetere; her siblings, Louis, Frank, Charley, John, Jr., Jay and Rose Politano; her son Richard Black; her grandson Richard Lee Black; and her nephew John Vetere.

She is survived by : her son Ron Black; her grandchildren, Raul Black, Christina Rivera, Trina Black and Phillip Black; her great grandchildren, Brea Williams, Berklee Brown, Audrey and Roman Black; her great great grandchildren, Cove Brown, Theo and Stevie Williams; and her former life partner Verdell Black.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Ida Ryan.
