We are sad to announce that, on October 6, 2020, at the age of 59, James Harris of Bakersfield, California, born in Indianola, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his stepfather Harold Johnson; and his siblings, Laura McLaurin, Juanita Harris, Melvin Harris and Kenneth Harris.

He is survived by: his siblings, Willie Moffett of Bakersfield, CA, Idella Harris of Bakersfield, CA and Deborah Carolina-Godbolt (Enoch Godbolt) of Stafford, VA; his sister-in-law Gerstine Harris of Bakersfield, CA.; and his friends, Freddie and Sarah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, their spouses, great-nieces and nephews and several cousins.
