He was predeceased by: his daughter Monica Martinez Hoyland; his parents, Fred Cardiel and Cora Cardiel; and his siblings, Donald Martinez, Manuel Cardiel and Nancy Terrazas.
He is survived by: his daughter Lana Marie; his grandchildren, Sebastian Liebel, Lea Martinez and Alice Hoyland; and his aunt Dolores Garibay.
