He was predeceased by: his parents, H. W. Pat and Eleanor Kelly; his siblings, Patsy and Tom; his nephew Patrick; and his son-in-law Bill Bolinger.

He is survived by: his children, Michael and Shawn (Lori); his wife Elaine; his daughter Melissa; and his grandchildren, Sara (Nick), Peter (Kim), Amy (Jesse), Amber, Cody, Megan, Liam and Jack.
